An authentic Japanese storage furniture piece intended for the preservation of writing instruments, such as calligraphy supplies.
This splendid specimen dates back to the late Meiji period (around 1900) and exhibits a beautifully weathered appearance.
The cabinet features four drawers of varying sizes. The sides are equipped with recesses, allowing the furniture to be easily moved. At the top, there is a storage compartment, ideally suited for storing writing tools and other small materials. Although the lid of this compartment is absent, it doesn’t detract from the beauty of this gem.
This Kake-suzuri is a unique piece that fits exquisitely on your desk, worktable, or anywhere you place it. It is an authentic and timeless Japanese interior item.
