Amazing and very rare double bed complete with headboard and structure designed and produced by the great Maestro Pierre Cardin at the end of the 70s.
The bed is made of finely crafted solid wood and then lacquered in glossy black, the headboard is made up of a set of curved wooden elements that give it a wonderful and very modern line, even if it is more than 50 years old.
They are completed by two circular brass elements on the sides of the headboard, one of which has the “Pierre Cardin” signature imprinted on it.
It is in excellent condition as shown in the photographs and suitable for all standard 190 x 140 cm bed bases.

Pierre Guariche designed these sofa beds for the La Plagne ski resort, in the French Alps, they are very practical thanks to their modularity.

Entirely in plywood and cream white laminate, the bed is available with its storage drawer, allowing room for a second bed. The mattress has been restored and covered with an orange-red Nobilis wool sheet, totally in the spirit of the arrangements of the time.

Provenance: La Plagne, ski resort to which Guariche contributed significantly in the 1960s.
