Authentic piece from the Napoleon III era (1848/1870) coming from a historic building in the center of Rome. Walnut veneer.
Used at the time to admire valuable objects, today it is itself a piece of absolute beauty, its patina gives us back the charm of a distant time.
Handmade by master cabinetmakers and glassmakers, it has three doors in gilded wood and glass, which can be opened with original and functioning locks.
The lower part of the curved glass doors is decorated with country scenes hand painted in oil and gold.
The artist’s signature is present and recognisable.
Interior padded with capitonné technique and covered in green silk satin. Shaped glass shelves. All totally original.
The lower folding panel in carved wood hides a large storage compartment.
Signs of use and age that do not affect its charm!
However, they can be eliminated with professional restoration, available as an extra on request.
