Vintage Design
This stunning cabinet comes from the western Chinese province of Qinghai, circa 1850 and has an unusual design, with narrow doors and drawers set centrally within the cabinet. This is a distinctive feature of furniture from Qinghai and gives a quite modern and pure look.
The cabinet is mainly in its original condition with its old red lacquer finish that has worn in places to reveal the wood below. The only addition being new hardware and hinges that are replacements for the old ones, but still in keeping with the original style.
Great for general storage, the warm red tones make this a lovely accent piece in any setting.
