Vintage Design
An iconic chair; the ‘Strip chair’, designed by the famous Dutch designer Gijs Bakker for Castelijn. It was released in 1974. This chair is the more rare version with armrests, only a limited amount have been produced. It is made out of 8 bended strips of lacquered laminated wood. An outstanding piece in its simplicity. The underlying idea was to reduce the complexity of the chair’s form, that gave also a modern look that suited that era in time perfectly. This chair is in a solid condition with minor signs of age and use.
